The Association of Professional Model Makers (APMM) is an international community of nearly 600 professional model makers, students, educational institutions, freelancers and corporations.

We represent and unite a diverse and unique community of model makers working in industries including architecture, automotive, consumer products, displays and dioramas, sports equipment, film and special effects, industrial design, prototypes, appearance models, scale models and toy development.

Many APMM members are business owners or shop managers, who make the decisions on sourcing materials, equipment and services for their companies. Production model makers and students entering the workforce can also make recommendations concerning purchasing and contracting. The materials and processes used to make prototypes sometimes are implemented in production.

The APMM is the best place for the leading vendors of materials, equipment and software in the industry to interact and share ideas with the brightest and most experienced professionals, students, and educators. Our biennial (in even-numbered years) conferences are designed for up-close, interactive learning and are held in various locations across the US. Vendors and Suppliers are valued and equal members of the APMM.
