Does anyone know of a company making ASME rated pressure pots for casting? Our casting department is growing and we need expanded capacity. We are aware of R3 Manufacturing and are in the process of getting a few of their pots and they are great but lead times are long and was wondering if there is another manufacturer out there we should be aware of as well? We also use Binks pots so we know of those but we are hoping for a larger in-stock pot that we can source to get us up to speed a bit faster while still being a certified pot, we are not interested in anything that is not ASME stamped. Thanks!

Have a look at HO Scale model railroad “track nails”. I’m not sure if they are stainless— might be nickle. HobbyLinc or Walthers would be good resources

Hi Patrick, the image is attached to the post now.

Here is an option from McMaster-Carr that came to mind.
https://www.mcmaster.com/screw-nails/material~stainless-steel/head-type~domed/
I have used these before in outdoor signage applications attaching 16 gauge stainless sheet to a solid wood backing. They work as advertised so long as you predrill undersized accurately. Good selection of sizes as well.

Hope that helps, reach back out if it doesn't!

Topic : Query for Post Graduation program in Model Making

Hi Sharad,

Business studies is not something that I know a great deal about; working in the arts and with undergraduate programmes, my experience is with different kinds of work.

I think that the programme you describe here may be difficult to find due to being so specialist. I would suggest looking for a business studies programme that offers the chance to reflect of one's own practice, or one focused on manufacturing perhaps (?)

I know that, in India, there are many agents who help to connect UK universities with Indian students. Perhaps you may find one with good knowledge of business programmes?

Sorry I can't offer any specific advice. Good luck with this...

Hi all!

I'm wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that sells stainless steel tack nails. These are to be used to attach an etched cribbage board top to a wooden base, as seen in the attached pic. I haven't had a whole lot of luck finding them at at any hardware stores, but I wouldn't think these would be specialty fasteners.

Any help or input is welcome!

Thank you!
