Allied Motion Technologies Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Journeyman Model Maker to join our team! Allied Motion Technologies Inc. is a global company with over 2200 employees at 25 locations in 11 countries. The Journeyman Model Maker will work primarily with the production of prototype parts, the design and production of miscellaneous specialized equipment and fixturing, and equipment and tooling maintenance in support of manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Setups and operates tool room type equipment (mills, lathes, grinders including OD, Prototrak’s, etc.) to manufacture precision machined engineering prototypes for the electric motor industry.
- Works from blueprints, sketches, and/or verbal instructions.
- Analyzes tooling failures; determine the cause(s) and make necessary adjustments and repairs.
- Custom machine components from drawings and/or concepts when required.
- Perform a variety of machine and bench operations related to production equipment, dies, molds fixtures, gauges, and automated production machines.
- Fadal experience a plus
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Journeyman certificate or 8 years minimum experience.
- Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- The ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization is required.
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
