JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Range Position Description
  • Support Engineering staff to modify, install, evaluate, repair, and document the installation of airborne test instrumentation, data acquisition systems and ground support equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in a technical exchange with engineering staff in a prototyping environment.
  • Proficient in machining and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Knowledgeable on schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical publications to build mechanical assemblies.
  • Hands-on experience operating equipment such as sheet metal punch press, water jet, brake press, pneumatic tools, and other hand tools.
  • Proficient in fabricating sheet metal parts, cutting, drilling, countersinking, and riveting to build and install mechanical assemblies.
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation and avionics maintenance on aircraft is highly desired.
  • Experience with CAD software such as CAM, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, etc. is desired.
  • Able to work in a field environment, which will include shift work, overtime, and travel to remote locations.
  • Frequent exposure to weather and temperature extremes, drafts, noise.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
Requirements - Education, Technical And Work Experience

Vocational/technical training beyond high school from an academic institution, or military equivalent training and a minimum of twelve (12) years of job-related experience are required for this position.

In addition, the incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Planning/organizational skills
  • Ability to work under established deadlines.
SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $61,630 to $105,102 annually.

Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the employee's job.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required.

The reminder of the work is performed near hangars, near a flightline, or in a shop environment that is moderately lighted, heated, and ventilated, and has risk for cuts and bruises from using tools in close places. Employee will frequently be exposed to hazards including but not limited to noise, moving vehicles such as forklifts and sweepers, moving mechanical parts, vibration, extreme heat, and fumes. Occasionally, employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold/heat when outside; risk of electrical shock; and elevated surfaces on ladders or maintenance stands when working on the aircraft.

While performing job duties, employee is regularly required to lift items weighing 15 to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (anything heavier than 50 pounds requires two people or mechanical assistance). Employee may need to stand, kneel, or work in tight constrained spaces for long periods of time. Employee may work on ladders for extended periods. Employee may have to use ladders and stands to access work areas. Employee is required to report any and all unsafe conditions, question nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve hazards and provide feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues.
