Job Description
PT-Mount Prospect is seeking a talented Model Maker to assist in the creation of prototype tool housings, motor mounts, test fixtures and other tasks using CNC- and non-CNC equipment. Also the familiarity of 3D printing is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Required Skill Set
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Comprehend both SAE (Imperial) and Metric dimensions
- Operate and comprehend basic measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measurement indicators, including bother Vernier and digital readout
- Skilled with hand tools, esp hand drill, saw, grinder techniques
- Skilled at safe and reliable of drill press
- Skilled at safe and reliable of band saw, horizontal and/or vertical
- Skilled at safe and reliable of motor lathe while holding tolerances to ±0.002”
- Skilled at safe and reliable of motor mill while holding tolerances to ±0.002”
- Skilled at safe and reliable of CNC 4-axis milling center
- Skilled at safe and reliable operation of 3D-FDM or -SLS printers
- Skilled at safe and reliable operation of sand blaster
- Skilled at safe and reliable operation of surface grinding, pedestal or mounted
- Skilled at safe and reliable operation of sheet metal bending and/or shearing
- Skilled at safe and reliable operation of welders including MIG or TIG
- Skilled at safe and reliable operation of Wire EDM equipment
- Comprehend thread design and production methods
- CNC programming in Conversational and/or G-Code
- CAD deign using MasterCam or equivalent
- 3D printer using GrabCAD or equivalent
- Adept using Microsoft Office Suite
Recommended Skill Set
- AAS in Industrial or Manufacturing Technology
