In this position the individual is responsible for finding solutions or processes to create engineering prototypes for new product development; add value to, fine tune, simplify and cost reduce new and legacy product designs; create new product prototypes using CAD/CAM, CNC and additive manufacturing technology such as 3-D printing and responsible for the final assembly of concept models including color match, finishing and top coat application. In addition to building new product concept models and functional prototypes, the individual is responsible for the design and fabrication of tools and fixtures for product assurance, research, benchmarking and implementation of new technologies and processes that will be used to expand capabilities, reduce cycle time and improve quality.
