Hi Charles,

My business insurance is through The Hartford via USAA. Vehicles and home office coverage are through USAA. My USAA relationship is 31 years old. So maybe I'm getting better pricing going that route. I have seen small incremental increases over the years, but nothing over 2-3%. My Hartford Biz policy covers the basics that any business should need. Plus I have extended liability for job site install coverage for the various museums and corps that we work with. Those get POI's per job when required. I also have workman's comp via Hartford as well.

The Hartford knows that I have several flavors of printing. I have yet to see policy changes for that. For now, they say that WC covers it. That's not to say that the area doesn't have filtration, it does.

Give me a call if you would like to discuss more in detail.

Best,

Terry

Hello,

I was wondering if any other shops have had issues with their business insurance in the past few years? State Farm dropped us (no claims EVER) and our Farmers policy has gone up 50% in the past 3 years.

I spoke with the agent and he said that for our Manufacturing B.O.P. (business operations policy) there had been widespread concern over claims for businesses that used 3d printers.

Has anyone else seen this effect recently in their policy costs?

Thanks
Charles
