Jill,

I think that you'll be pleased with the results of using Boeshield.

Well that is getting more interesting.
Like you, I keep Renaissance wax on hand for all sorts of things. I actually decided it was much thinner than paste wax and didn't seem to buff out to as hard of a finish as the paste wax--more on par with what I call Salad Bowl Wax, which is a food safe version.

Boeshield like Terry said. We use it on all our CNC tooling as well as cast iron tops. Renaissances wax is a better alternative to Johnson’s and handy to have around the shop for all kinds of things.

Thanks Terry. I've heard mention of that here and there, but I'd rather rely on someone within APMM for the recommendation. Good to know its a Boeing and SawStop product---that ups the faith as well. I'll get it on order right now.

Hi Jill,

I use Boeshield T-9 and Boeshield Rust Free stain and rust and stain remover. It was recommended to me by the tech guys atSawStop. Boeshield was developed by Boeing ecause they needed a better protectant/lubricant for exposed aircraft parts. The stuff works great and is much faster to me than paste wax.

Amazon has it...

Is there anything better than Johnson's paste wax for cast iron machine tables? After a few decades, my tin of paste wax is finally empty.
