I use weldon/ips #3 or 4 to solvent bond it together. The same solvent I use for acrylic.

Hmmm...never considered MEK.
I'll try that first.

Thanks for both,

Use a solvent. Weld-on 3 or 4, MEK, carbon tetrachloride

I print a lot of PLA and use Henkel/ Loctite 406 with excellent results. I've failed with many other variations, but the 406 is worth the fortune it sells for--typically I pay about $20 for a 20 gram bottle.

Hello All,

Does anyone have a good recommendation for an adhesive/glue to hold together 3D printed PLA parts?

I am looking to permanently glue parts together.

I have used Super glue of various viscosities with poor results.

I would like something with a resulting thin film (not hot glue-y)

I love 3D printing, but doing any post processing to a PLA part or parts I have found to be tricky and challenging.

What say y'all?

P
