Hey Charles, this should not be too much of a challenge. I don't have personal experience with this but I would start with addressable LED light strips and control them with an arduino. ChatGPT can write the code for you. There are also lots of premade solutions for this in the automotive aftermarket but form factor might be an issue for you. Robert Williams from the Univ of Cincinnati 1819 Innovation Hub gave a presentation on this at the recent conference titled "Adding Electronics to Models / Arduino" I think we are close to releasing the videos of the presentations.

Hey Modelmakers,

We are making a model of a process plant with fluid flowing through pipes into tanks. The customer would like us to consider showing flow with LED chaser lights in the pipes. Has anyone done this recently or have resources or suppliers for the lights. Top of the head we would need someone who can program the micro controller as well.
