DIY: Model Shop Hacks

Submitted by Audrey Farrell

You know you've been there. That feeling of hunger for something warm and sweet and the only thing in the Model Shop freezer is frozen cookie dough bought from a co-worker for his kid's school fundraiser. Hey, you're a creative problem solver. So what if there's no toaster oven? You have a HEAT GUN, for cryin' out loud.

Step 1: Place frozen dough portions on a ceramic plate lifted from the company cafeteria.
Gradually heat dough to defrost.

Step 2: Increase heat while constantly moving heat gun over cookie dough,
which should be smelling pretty good by now. Flip over and continue until crisp.

Step 3: Place aromatic fresh-baked cookies on Model Shop lunch table and be prepared
for adoration of your fellow model makers as they drool and scramble over the remains of the delectable treat.

Now it's time to make S'mores with a blow torch!

Step 1: Gather your ingredients...
marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, and a blow torch.

Step 2: Slowly heat marshmallows and chocolate to a gooey consistency.

Step 3: Squish together and eat!

Step 4: Your fellow model makers will smell the delicious aroma...

Step 5: ...And will want to make their own!

Step 6: Enjoy! It's as much fun to make as it is to eat!
